Hosts Thames International College retained the Inter-college Twenty20 Cricket Tournament with a six-wicket win over College of Applied Business (CAB) on Wednesday. Thames bowled CAB out for 105 runs before Man of The Match Nikesh Shrestha stroked unbeaten 42 to complete the run chase for Thames in 17.5 overs. Earlier, Santosh Paudel top-scored for CAB with 27 runs.

Host Thames International College on Wednesday claimed the title of Thames Inter-College (T20) Knockout Cricket Tournament 2071 played at the Army grounds, Bhaktapur. The man-of-the-match Nikesh Shrestha shone with bat for Thames as it overcame College of Applied Business (CAB) by six wickets in the final. Nikesh scored unbeaten 42 runs, the highest in the match. Electing to bat first after winning the toss, CAB scored 105 runs losing all the wickets in allotted 20 overs. Thames surpassed the target in 17.5 over with six wickets in hand. Skipper Santosh Paudel scored the highest 27 run facing 29 deliveries for CAB. Poshan Guragain (13), Hukum Ji Shah and Tushan Khatiwada (11 run each) were the only other batsmen for CAB to reach double figure. Thames bowler Bikram Baniya, Sanju Wosti, Nishant Shakya, Nikesh Shrestha and Roshan Shrestha pocketed one wicket each.
